Sina Alam is a kamancheh player, composer, and arranger, born in Tehran, Iran in 1990. He started to play the violin at the age of ten. He graduated in his major Kamancheh (named after the Middle Eastern spiked fiddle, a bowed string instrument) at the Tehran Conservatory of Music. Moreover, he has a Bachelor’s degree in Music from the Tehran University of Art and studied under various teachers such as M. K. Porter, H. Montazeri, H. Arazm, and V. Sahakian.

In addition to his lectureship at the Tehran Conservatory of Music and activity in NIRT, Alam won many festival prizes and competitions (e.g. Global Music Awards 2020, Kamaanehro Album & World music).

He soloed with various music ensembles and different orchestras inside and outside of Iran (e.g. Zand, Simorq, Nedaye Hatef, Mowlavi) with several solo artists (e.g. Shahram Nazeri, Homayoun Shajarian, Ali Zand Vakili).

Alam has also contributed with his kamancheh to many film soundtracks and has supervised the recording of many music albums.

There is a long list of his own compositions, arrangements, albums, and CDs on Spotify, Soundcloud, YouTube, and Apple Music. His first independent work Cut Pieces was released on his 21^st birthday in 2011. His latest track The Dark Night which he composed together with his brother Sahab Alam was released in 2021.
